Leo Lingas is a Greek/Canadian Fantasy Illustrator based out of Toronto, Canada. Leo loves games, film and comic books in fantastic genres of all sorts. He mixes the sensibilities of Classical and Romantic art with his obsession for geek oriented pop culture in all his artwork. This blending of old and new has informed his art since attending college at OCAD when he combined traditional drawing and painting with new media theory in a self created program specializing in sequential art. While he mostly does illustration for RPGs these days he tries to pack as much world building and story into every piece of art that he can. Leo is known for his work in the Blue Rose RPG by Green Ronin, the Exalted line by White Wolf, and his series of fan art parodying well known sci-fi characters and famous historical paintings. Leo was recently featured on BoingBoing, Wil Wheaton's Blog and Fark, for his piece "Klingons Crossing the Delaware" which currently is taking up most of his living room wall. |
